Meet a Policeman, Learn Wild Fermentation and Bike-to-Farm

Ready for some fun? Kids will love talking with Steve Hyman from the Tifton Police Department from 10 -11 – it’s free, just stop by the market this Saturday.

Bike-to-Farm Tour.  June 7, 8 a.m. Tour of up to 6 different sites in Tifton and Tift County of agricultural interest. There is a short 6 mile loop that stops at an innovative garden in the city, a futuristic farmstead built with the latest green technologies, then a quaint farmers market. For those in good shape, there is a 16 mile (one way) spur that takes you to a PYO berry operation, a commercial vegetable production farm and then a small scale cut flower farm. Tours are just 10-15 minutes at each site,  to end by noon. Learn more and sign up here.
