The Wiregrass Farmers Market at the GMA remains the only local producers’ and growers’ market, offering the freshest produce, meats, and handmade artisanal goods directly from the grower/producer to your shopping basket with absolutely no resale. Need a Market Bag or Tote?
Check out our market bag and tote – both sport our logo on the side. The bag, which sells for $5.00 is green and has our logo in white while the $20 tote is canvas with yellow trim and a has a color logo. Don’t forget we have aprons for sale with our logo embroidered on the front; these kitchen beauties are $30.
Gin Trash Available This Saturday!
Need some gin trash for your garden? Five gallon buckets will be available this Saturday at the market. Proceeds from your $4- $5 donation will be used to help the Wiregrass Farmers Market!
Looking for a new project?
Check out the shiitake mushroom logs now available at the market! It takes just a little love – in the form of keeping the logs moist and then an overnight soak a couple of times a year and you’ll have your own shiitakes to harvest. It’s great family project to grow these delicious mushrooms. Properly cared for, each log will last several years.
Activities for Adults and Kids This Saturday!
Children will enjoy creating a pine cone bird feeder from 10 – 11 a.m. This activity is free – just stop by the market and join in the fun! Interested in preserving food? Adults can learn the art of preserving through drying from 11 – 11:30 Saturday. This event is free and is presented by Bret Wagenhorst.
